Botana Platters
The botana is the Rio Grande Valley’s signature platter — and the dish our guests ask about most. It is built for the table to share: part meal, part celebration.
The Taco Ole Botana
It starts with a bed of crispy tortilla chips. Over those chips goes a generous layer of sizzling fajita meat — beef, chicken, or both — cut into strips and cooked with peppers and onions. Then come the refried beans, a blanket of melted cheese, and all the fixings around the edges: rice, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapeños, and a stack of warm tortillas so you can build tacos out of the whole thing.
